Proposed design for the European Commissions headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan

A linear building with three floors, offices (to the east and west) are arranged on a flexible plan resulting in an animated space. Corridors are articulated in a manner that enables designated areas for staff rooms to the side. In parallel to the street, a one-story ‚barrier‘ structure that projects into the  building provides all the public and security-related functions required by the client.
